Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between an original display and a copy?
First of all, the price, contrast and sensitivity of the sensor. There are copies of different quality classes - from budget TFT to high-quality OLED. The latter are not inferior to the original in color reproduction, viewing angles and thickness of the display itself.
What is the difference between TFT and OLED displays?
TFT is simpler and cheaper, but has less saturated colors and worse viewing angles. Some models are equipped with brightness adjustment, others are not. OLED is more expensive, but its Soft version is not inferior to the characteristics of the original, provides high contrast, a sensitive sensor and a very thin design.
What are the main differences between Hard OLED and Soft OLED?
Hard OLED has a glass base, is thicker, cheaper and less flexible. Soft OLED is made of plastic, thinner, more flexible and closer to the original in quality, but more expensive.
Are all displays compatible only with a specific phone model?
Yes. Even a slight difference in the smartphone version can make the display or module incompatible.
Why is the display sometimes sold without a frame?
Such options are cheaper, but require transferring the frame and small parts from the old display, which makes the replacement more difficult to perform independently.
How to quickly check the display/module before final installation?
Connect the module temporarily (without gluing or fixing), turn it on - check the backlight (white/black screens), the sensor (multi-touch, swipes), the presence of dead pixels and the correct location of the holes for the cameras/sensors. If everything works, only then complete the final assembly.
