How to Connect iPhone 5 LCD Module
iPhone users, after their device is dropped on the ground, are exposed to two serious problems at the same time: LCD malfunction and touchscreen defects. If that is the case, the only correct approach is the LCD module replacement.
The LCD module — is an LCD, touchscreen and protective glass attached to each other's surface with a special glue.

Now, let's get closer to the smartphone disassembly. First of all, we have to remove the 2 screws near the iPhone charging port.
In case you have accidentally lost those screws or have broken them somehow, you can buy replacement screws set in our store. To screw in or remove the screws, you will need a special screwdriver.
To remove safely the LCD module you must use Special LCD and Touchscreen Removal Tool or special suction cup.
In our video, we used a special tool for removing the LCD module. Put the smartphone on the tool pad, hold it with the grips, lift the lever up carefully to avoid damaging the flat cable. If you were not successfull at disconnecting the module at once, try lifting it with special mediator or special spudger.
In order to remove the protective film covering the LCD's terminal, you have to remove the 3 screws in the device's right upper part.
We recommend using a special screwdriver, for example crosshead screwdriver or Torx+Phillips screwdriver, to keep the screw thread safe.
Using curved tweezers, disconnect the terminals. The LCD module is removed.
Testing the New LCD Module
Before installing the new LCD module, please take some time to test it. The most convenient tool for testing is a flat cable for iPhone 5 LCD testing .
Each iPhone model has unique type of flat cable for LCD testing. Please select the flat cable according to your smartphone model.
Connect one side of the testing cable to the module and the other side to the iPhone. Then turn on the smartphone and test the LCD and/or the touchscreen.
LCD Module Installation
After the testing, disconnect the testing cable and move on to the module installation. Remove the 'Home' button with respective flat cable from the old module, remove the protective shield, the loudspeaker with its flat cable, as well as the proximity sensor and install them to the new LCD.
Attention! In our video we are showing how to install the LCD module correctly, but we are not showing its replacement procedure.
The most common and critical mistake in the LCD module installation is improper folding of the flat cable.
Do not fold the LCD/touchscreen flat cable at the very edge of the LCD or the touchscreen. Such improper folding may break the wires that will cause the LCD/touchscreen to malfunction. The unit shall operate improperly and you may see stripes on the LCD, the touchscreen may blink or shall not respond to the touch. Thus, your smartphone will not work, you will waste your money, time and you will get a faulty spare part.
In order to fold the flat cable properly, press it to the glass and fold it in the middle. Only such method will ensure safe installation of the LCD module to the smartphone.
Specially for our clients, the All Spares Store technical support team has prepared a video manual that provides instructions on how to properly install the LCD module into iPhone. We hope this video will help you perform the LCD replacement procedure correctly.
