Apple introduced iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C smartphones
On September 10th, Apple Inc. has launched a presentation of the new products in their head-office in Cupertino, LA. The company has presented the first plastic iPhone 5C and the most powerful Apple's phone to a date - iPhone 5S.
For the first time Apple have changed their minimalistic principles and presented their new iPhone 5C in different colors.
iPhone 5C
iPhone 5C will get plastic housing, that is made of hardened polycarbonate with metallic reinforcement. 5C will be available in white, pink, yellow, blue and green colors.
The new product will get the 4-inch Retina display, 8-megapixel main camera, and front camera will have 1.9 um pixel size and a better backlight.
iPhone 5C, 16GB with two year service plan will cost $99, and 32GB version - $199. Also you will be able to buy a matching colorful case for $29.
But the price without service plan is not that low-budget. The price for 16GB model will be $549 and 32GB will cost you $649. Everybody knows that Apple started releasing the low-budget smartphones due to competition with Android-devices, but if the rumors about contract-free price are true, then the situation on the market will not change that much.
iPhone 5S
iPhone 5S – is not low-budget smartphone at all, but there are also some changes in Apple's classical style. Instead of regular black or white colors, the new iPhone 5S models will be in black with space-grey trim, white with silver trim, and white with gold trim versions.
Apparently, Apple decided to make life brighter.
The iPhone 5S will be powered by the new 64-bit Apple A7 system-on-chip, and for the game lovers it will support OpenGL ES 3.0. Apple representatives have announced that the new processor is 40 times more powerful than the one in the previous iPhone. The other surprising thing will be co-processor M7, that will be processing motion data from its accelerometer, gyroscope and compass. It's important to mention that this is the first ever 64-bit chip in smartphones.
The new product will also get a Touch ID fingerprint recognition system. It is placed into Home button, its thickness is 170 microns, resolution is 500 ppi, and it got 360o of receptivity. Now you may use your fingerprint as authentication while buying in iTunes with no need of entering your password.
The most exciting thing about iPhone 5S is its 8 megapixel camera with five-element lens, ƒ/2.2 aperture and 1.5µ pixels. Camera makes photos with the speed of 10 shots per second and automatically pics the best shot out of the taken ones. The flashlight got white and amber leds, that allows you to get more natural shades.
Video recording is 30 fps in 1080p HD resolution, besides you may choose any part of the video clip to make it in slow motion.
iPhone 5S battery life now lasts longer comparing to iPhone 5. Ten hours of constant talking on the phone in 3G network, 8 hours of surfing the internet, and 10 hours of battery life for network navigation using LTE and WiFi. 10 hours of watching videos, 40 hours of listening to music, and 250 hours in stand-by mode.
With two year contract iPhone 5S 16GB will cost you $199, 32GB version for $299 and 64GB version for $399.
iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C sales started on September 20th in the following countries: the United States, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore and Great Britain.
